In the sense that it is completely inappropriate for anyone to criticise parents for the sort of child they have brought into the world.

But it’s more a case of children themselves criticising their parents for something: Why did you bring me into the world the way I am? Alternatively: Why on earth did you bring me into this world?

What does this mean from God’s perspective? Why wasn’t I born at a different time, in a different place, in a different body, in better health and with greater abilities?

Just as it is inappropriate for clay or pottery shards to turn against their potter, so it is inappropriate for children to criticise their parents for the way they were born.

I find this analogy less accurate than the one about the potter:

For one thing, couples have no control over the matter – they do not decide what their children will be like, nor can they influence it.
